Birthday Social 50k

In April I turned 30, and like an old person with something to prove, I knew a proper endurance ass-kicking was in order. A thirty-mile run was the punishment that fit the crime and I quickly began to get excited about the prospect of proving to my aging body that I could still hang with the young guns. As shoes were laced and the route was discussed, I quickly learned that Lauren had schemed up a monster of a secret plan. No, we would not be going to the trails. Instead, we were to be running around Salt Lake City, visiting friends at Covid-approved aid stations, eating lots of pizza and drinking all the beverages.
