Sean's Try Hard 31 Shit List Birthday Party

Every spring, opportunistic mountain folk become enamored by the idea of multi-sport days. And it’s hard to blame them. Skiing and running and biking are a favorite trio. Some might sub in skateboarding, climbing, kayaking, fly fishing or golfing (??). Whatever your drink of choice, it feels good to hang out in the spring sunshine, lap up the long days, and move your body through a variety of activities.

As a big fan of multi-sport spring days, I decided I should probably take it too far and indulge in a day of 31 different activities. So, Lauren and I went to work creating the list, producing a schedule and dialing in gear. Some items on the list were difficult while others were softballs (Mimosas, anyone?). However, in the end, we were proud of our list and felt like it was a strong, well-rounded group. So, we set out to check all the boxes.

All in all, it was a fantastic day. Winds ripped across Wolverine cirque as we transitioned and dropped into Roman’s. I used a mountain bike to descend SR210 because I couldn’t find a road bike. We climbed outside for the first time in over a year. And the clouds broke just enough to catch and photograph a sunset on the Great Salt Lake.

We made sure to document most of the day on our phones and are proud to present a shitty video of our wonderful birthday celebration.
